Hey, I’m Abi.

For 70 years, software was hard to make. Anything useful took a roomful of engineers and real time. It was the filter. You didn’t have to check what a product did with your data, because whoever had the skill to build it usually had the skill to protect it.

That filter is gone. AI did that. You ask for an app in plain English, in the same sentence you’d use to order pizza, and it shows up faster than the pizza. It looks every bit as good as the real thing. Whether it can keep your data safe is another question, and the person who made it can’t answer it either.

And how do you check? Well. You get a privacy policy. 12 pages. It was written by lawyers, for other lawyers, and it is uuuuugly. Then the terms. 40 more pages. Somewhere in there it says they can change all of it whenever they feel like it. Nobody, anywhere, tells you where your files go. It’s a crummy way to make a decision about your data.

Food went through this exact moment. When anyone could can, bottle, and sell food, quality stopped being visible from the outside. Two cans looked identical. One had meat, one had sawdust.

And the answer was kind of dumb. The label. What’s inside, printed on the outside. And it fixed it.

We’re at that moment again. Only this time it isn’t what’s in your food. It’s what happens to your data.

So my brother and I built SafeUse. It’s the label for AI tools. One page, 60 seconds, and you know six things you couldn’t before.

1. Has it been hacked.

2. Will it cost you, and can you get out.

3. Where your files go, and who else gets them.

4. Who was tracking you the second you opened the page.

5. Whether it does what it says. We read their promises, then we watch the tool, and the label shows you where the two don’t match.

6. What real users complain about.

Sixty seconds, and you’re all in or you’re out.

If you hold other people’s files, a client’s, a team’s, a customer’s, this was made for you.

One rule will never change:

No tool ever pays us. Only the people we protect.

We had a lot of fun making it. I hope you enjoy using it.

Terms, on your terms.
