What we collect, and why.
- ·Your email. It’s how you sign in (magic links) and how we reach you with change alerts and receipts. That’s it.
- ·Your scans and your stack. The tools you scan and watch, so your dashboard works and we know what to re-check for you.
- ·Payment status. Whether your subscription is active and how many scans you have. Your card number, billing address, and payment details live with Stripe. We never see or store them.
- ·Basic technical logs. Standard server logs (IP, timestamps, errors) kept briefly to keep the service running and abuse out.
That’s the whole list. No tracking pixels following you around the internet, no data brokers, no advertising identifiers.
What we never do.
- ·We never sell your data. To anyone, for any price. That will never change.
- ·We never show ads or share your data with advertisers.
- ·We never train AI models on your data. The scanning runs on the tools’ public documents, not on anything of yours.
- ·We never take money from the AI tools we scan. Not now, not ever. Our only revenue is from the people we protect, which means we have no reason to go soft on anyone.
Who touches your data.
Five processors, each doing one job under their own data-processing terms:
StripePayments. Your card never touches our servers.
SupabaseSign-in and database, where your account lives.
ResendSends magic links and change alerts.
VercelHosts the site.
UpstashShort-lived cache for scan results.
Emails we send.
Three kinds: magic links when you sign in, change alerts for tools you chose to watch, and receipts. Alerts can be switched off in Settings. We don’t send marketing blasts.
Deleting your data.
Delete your account in Settings, or email hello@safeuse.app. Your account and scan history are removed from our live systems within 24 hours; encrypted backups expire automatically within 7 days; payment records stay with Stripe as long as tax law requires. You can export your data from Settings first.
Your rights.
Wherever you live, we work from the same baseline: you can see what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, or delete it. Email us and it happens. No forms, no 30-day runaround.
Changes.
The mechanics here may evolve: a new processor, a clearer sentence. If anything material changes, we’ll email you before it takes effect. Silent edits are exactly what we scan for.
The commitments are different. They are not up for revision, ever: we will never sell your data, never run ads, and never take money from the AI tools we scan. And if safeuse is ever sold, these commitments go with it. Any buyer inherits them.
